Less than 3 $20's

I left for town this am with 3 $20 bills in my wallett.  I came home with one $5 bill and some change.

Here's what I accomplished;

Shoppers Drug Mart - Goal was to have at least $50 in products BEFORE TAXES AND COUPONS in order to maximize the 20x the points event.

2x Breyers Ice Cream (Reese PB Cup and Caramilk) $7.99 each = $15.98 - $10 coupons (2x $5 ice cream coupons from the back of cheerios boxes) = $5.98

8x Lipton Sidekicks Regular $1.99 each, sale $0.99 each = $7.92 - $1.98 coupons ( 2x Buy 3 get 1 free coupons - printed from FB link) = $5.94 (equal to 74 cents per pkg)

1x Scott Paper towels Regular $9.99, sale $4.99 - $2.00 coupon (found on their website) = $2.99 (I also had a bonus 1000 points coupon for shoppers)

1x Eggs Regular $2.99, sale $2.29

4x Old Spice Disposable razors, clearance $0.99 = $3.96 - $4.00 coupons (found in the brandsaver newspaper insert) = $-0.04

1x Philly Cream Cheese regular $3.99, sale $2.99 - $1.00 coupon (from save.ca) = $1.99

1x Purex Laundry Soap regular $4.99, sale $3.99 - $3.00 coupon (from sample received in the mail) = $0.99

4x Advil Liquigels Regular $9.99, sale $3.99 =$15.96 - $16.00 coupons (4 x $4.00 - found at shoppers) = $-0.04

2x Del Monte Green Beans Clearance $0.50 each = $1.00

3 x Baxter Milk $3.12 each = $9.36 (2 of these are for my office - you also get 5x your points on milk purchase)

1 x Allergy cream clearance $0.99

TOTAL $69.43 - $37.98 coupons = $31.45 + $4.02 HST = $35.47!!!!!

Had I not purchased these items on sale and without using coupons, the retail value would have been $109.13 + HST (approx $5) = $114.13

$114.13 - $35.47 = $78.66 SAVINGS! Thats 69% savings!!

Superstore - because I was in the mall, I walked down to superstore and got the following - because I knew Sobeys didn't carry these products -

1x Wonder+ Simply Free Bread - $2.99 - $0.75 coupon (found in newspaper insert) = $2.24 (not a great deal, but we needed bread!)

2 x Cottonelle Moist Wipes $3.99 each = $7.98 - $6.98 coupons (2 x FREE to a max value of $3.49 each) = $1 (or 50 cents per container)

TOTAL - $3.24 + $1.04 HST (must pay tax on full price of items even though using coupons) = $4.28!!!!

Retail price this would have cost me $10.97 + $1.04 HST = $12.01!!

$12.01 - $4.28 (what I paid) = $7.73  Thats 64% savings!!

Last but not least - SOBEYS - I stopped here because I was driving by anyway to get to the highway, and they had mayo and soup on sale!

8x Campbells Cream of  Mush soup Regular $1.29, Sale $0.89 = $7.12 - $2.00 coupons (2x save $1 when you buy 4) = $5.12 ($0.64 per can - not a super deal as Shoppers has them on sale for .59 a can, but the coupon was an in-store coupon)

1 x Hidden Valley Ranch dressing $3.39 - $3.39 coupon (from Facebook) = $0

1 x Friskies Can Cat Food $0.89 - 0.89 coupon (from mykitten.ca) = $0

2 x Miracle Whip Regular $4.99, sale $2.99 = $5.98 NO COUPONS :(

1 x Danone Coolision Yogurt Regular $3.99, sale $2.99 - $1.00 coupon (save.ca) = $1.99

2 x Kitten Chow $6.99 each (!!!!) = $13.98 - $13.98 coupons (2 x $6.99 from mykitten.ca) - $0 *phew* - giving this to my Mother-In-Law for her kittens!

TOTAL - $34.05 + $1.89 HST = $35.94 - $20.96 Coupons = $14.98!!!

Retail price this would have been $42.55 + $1.89 HST = $44.44

$44.44 - 14.98 = $29.46 That's 51% savings!!!

So overall, retail price of everything was $170.58, and I paid $54.73
